Happy Birthday, Amer

Happy Birthday, America! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We can't wait to open our doors and serve the Auburn community soon. Here's to celebrating 250 years of America, and many years of caring for the pets who make our families whole. 🐾

Just because it's Independence Day, we wouldn't feel like we were doing our jobs without a friendly reminder:

πŸŽ† Fireworks can be frightening for pets. Keep dogs and cats indoors, close the blinds, turn on a TV or fan for background noise, and make sure they have a safe, comfortable place to hide if they're feeling anxious. Never bring your pet to a fireworks show.

πŸ” Skip the barbecue scraps. While those hot dogs, burgers, ribs, and desserts may be tempting to share, many holiday foods can upset your pet's stomachβ€”or worse. Avoid onions, garlic, grapes, raisins, chocolate, alcohol, corn cobs, cooked bones, and foods high in fat, as they can cause serious digestive issues or even emergencies.

🦴 Watch what's left behind. Skewers, bones, foil, and food wrappers are common holiday hazards and can be dangerous if swallowed.

🏷️ Double-check ID tags and microchip information. More pets go missing on the Fourth of July than almost any other day of the year due to fireworks.

From all of us at Laurel Oaks Veterinary Center, have a safe, fun, and memorable Independence Day.

We’ve always known

We’ve always known she was the best, but now Auburn-Opelika does too! πŸ†

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Hanna Lamb on being voted Best Veterinarian in Auburn-Opelika 2026! πŸŽ‰πŸΎ

What makes Dr. Lamb so special isn’t just her knowledge and skill, it’s the way she loves her patients. From the moment a pet walks through the door, she treats them like family. Whether she’s helping a nervous puppy gain confidence, caring for a senior pet, or supporting owners through difficult decisions, her compassion shines through in everything she does.

We are incredibly proud to have Dr. Lamb leading the way at Laurel Oaks Veterinary Center, and we can’t wait for our community to experience the level of care she brings to every appointment.

✨ Laurel Oaks Veterinary Center opens this August! Stay tuned for grand opening details, behind-the-scenes updates, and a first look at what we’ve been building for the Auburn, Opelika, & Beauregard community.

Congratulations, Dr. Lamb! Your patients, their families, and your team are so proud of you. πŸ’šπŸΆπŸ±
